Classes at Jak's Bakery

Learn the basics of yeast dough, braiding and decorating, even how to make hand-pulled phyllo. No experience necessary, all skill levels welcome! We will also provide light fare and a parting gift in addition to your baked masterpiece.

Each class begins at 6:00pm on the date you select, and the duration is listed in the class description. They range from 90 minutes to 2 hours (phyllo class). We offer a series of three classes; you can purchase individual classes or a Class Pass, which allows you to participate in the whole series (we will contact you regarding your choice of dates for this option).

Important Info:
These classes are hands-on, and will involve getting a little messy and up-close and personal with dough. We will provide aprons, but please wear appropriate attire and closed-toed shoes. Classes are small (max 6) to ensure individual instruction. Note: Classes are non-refundable; contact us if a conflict arises and based on availability we will arrange an alternative date.

This 2-hour class will cover making phyllo dough by hand. Learn what makes this dough different from other pastry and how to work it into the thinnest sheets, fill it and fold it for baking.
